Reiki
Reiki (pronounced Ray – Key) is Japanese and began it’s life as a beautiful and yet simple self healing spiritual development system that developed into a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing . Reiki works by the laying on of hands by the attuned Practitioner who, because of his Attunement (connection ritual) he is permanently connected to the Life force energy and it is this energy (that is all around us) that flows through the Practitioner into the client. Reiki is a non religous Spiritual healing system that is completely neutral and therefore it does not conflict with any single religion or belief .
The founder of Reiki was a very respected man called Mikao Usui born of a humble Tendai Buddhist Family and yet he was highly educated.
Sensei Usui was interested in many things and studied and achieved much in life his knowledge of Medicine, Psychology, World Religions for example, was vast .
He studied traditional Chinese Medicine, Western Medicine, Numerology Astrology and Psychic and Clairvoyant development and He was much travelled journeying to China, America and Europe many times.
He was a Martial Arts expert, training in Yagyu Ryu – Samurai swordsmanship He trained in many other forms of Martial Arts and reached very high client. Usui also attended the Rei Jyutsu Kai Spiritualist Healing group.
Today it consists of the most spiritual monks and nuns in Japan
Usui taught many students his original Healing and Spiritual system at that early time, known then as his 'Method to Achieve Personal Perfection'.
Usui would give his students Empowerments and they would be connected to the healing energy of Reiki permanently .
Many Masters have been and are being attuned over the years and each and everyday the beautiful energy of Reiki is spreading all over the world thanks to Mikao Usui.
